Ukraine Received observer status in the European Blockchain Partnership

Ukraine received observer status within the European Blockchain Partnership (EBP).

According to the press service of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, Oleksandr Bornyakov, Deputy Head of the Ministry for IT Development, will represent Ukraine in the blockchain partnership.

Joining the European blockchain partnership should facilitate the integration of the digital economic space of Ukraine and the EU.

The Ministry expects that this will accelerate not only the introduction of blockchain technologies into government registries and services, but also the creation of a “highly effective regulatory environment” for the virtual asset market.

The initiative for Ukraine’s entry into the European Blockchain Partnership was made by the General Director of the public union “Virtual Assets of Ukraine” Konstantin Yarmolenko and the head of the inter-factional association of deputies Blockchain4Ukraine Oleksiy Zhmerenetsky.
