Twitter’s Crypto Community Praises Doge And Hates Ethereum — Analytics

TRG Datacenters analysts conducted a study in which they analyzed tweets for the year from January 2021 to January 2022 regarding the five most popular cryptocurrencies. In the end, they found that Ethereum was Twitter’s least favorite cryptocurrency out of the five they studied, while Dogecoin was the most popular.

According to Cointelegraph, the study looked at tweets related to Bitcoin (BTC), Cardano (ADA), Dogecoin (DOGE), Ethereum (ETH), and Litecoin (LTC). Among them, Ethereum collected the most negative feedback on itself – 29% of tweets with a negative assessment.

The bulk of the criticism of Ethereum has been about its speed compared to other L1 alternatives, as well as energy costs. The peak of negative Ethereum collected from the crypto community, due to an error, there was a short-term split of Ethereum into two chains at the end of August 2021.

In second place in terms of negative reviews was Bitcoin (27%). In third place is Cardano (16%), while Litecoin took fourth place (8%).

Dogecoin has become a favorite of the public on Twitter. Only 6% of all tweets about the popular memcoin contained unfavorable reviews. In other words, 94% of all DOGE tweets were positive.

Dogecoin gained particular popularity after the decision of billionaire Elon Musk to accept DOGE as payment for Tesla goods.
