Twitter users Will Be Able to Add BTC and ETH Addresses to Their Profiles
Twitter is working on a new feature that would allow users to add Bitcoin and Ethereum addresses to their profiles.
Italian mobile developer Alessandro Paluzzi posted screenshots of possible BTC and ETH wallet locations on the Twitter app’s settings dashboard on September 3.
It hasn’t been officially announced at this time, but the Twitter product chief Kaiwon Beikpur hinted that this could change soon.
Some speculate that this Twitter update is part of a Tip Jar feature that would allow users to tip in Bitcoins for content creators. The announcement of this innovation was back in May 2021.
Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey said in July that the tip at BTC was part of his broader plans to integrate the asset onto the platform through means such as commerce and subscriptions.
