Tokyo Is Going to Become a Crypto Trading Center

Yuu Ito, a member of Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly, thinks that Tokyo can become an area of interest for crypto traders. He supposes that enhancing Tokyo’s presence on the crypto market will benefit the financial sector of the city.

Ito also spoke about the obstacles that are necessary to overcome to make it happen. First of all, he mentioned high Bitcoin taxes as one. He is sure that this holds the investors and companies from being active in Japan.

Nobuko Irie, his fellow-member, agreed with him. She doesn’t think politicians handle the situation in a proper way and suggests that the monetary policy and Bitcoin taxation should be reviewed and corrected. Irie offered to make a tax-free zone for Bitcoin in Tokyo. She believes the pandemics is the best time to create the environment for the development of blockchain in Japan.
