Texas Democratic Party Raises Funds With NFT

Marketplace Front Row announced that it will partner with the Texas Democratic Party to carry out a pilot NFT program to raise money for candidates and organizations.

In the announcement, Front Row announced that it has already released and put up for sale an NFT with digital imaging of key moments associated with progressive motion. Some NFTs include wanted posters that depict conservative Texas lawmakers fleeing the state.

“NFTs will be a powerful addition to any political fundraising effort, and launching our marketplace will give Democrats across the country a fundraising edge that their counterparts do not have,” said Front Row co-founder Parker Butterworth.

In addition, the Front Row platform will donate a portion of the proceeds from the NFT to environmental purposes. While the platform is launching at the Texas state level, it hints at future expansion.

Recently, US Senator Ted Cruz said that the state of Texas should use Bitcoin mining to trap the state’s renewable energy and grid waste over the next five years.
