Solar-powered Bitcoin Mining Centre Opened In the US
Aspen Creek Digital Corporation (ACDC) has opened a 6 MW Bitcoin mining centre in Colorado powered by a 10 MW solar power plant.
According to The Block, ACDC intends to open several more similar facilities in Texas. One of them will have a capacity of 30 MW and will accommodate 10,000 ASIC miners. In addition, the plans also include the construction of a facility with a capacity of 150 MW.
According to ACDC CEO Alexandra DaCosta, since mining farms are provided with electricity from their own solar power plants, this should ensure their independence from volatility in the electricity market.
In addition to mining independently at a new facility in Colorado, the company also hosts mining machines from Galaxy Digital.
