Ripple vs SEC: Judge Approved Involvement of Binance’s records

More details appeared this week in the trial between fintech firm Ripple and the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

US Magistrate Judge Sarah Netburn on August 3 approved Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse’s request for the involvement of Binance’s records of Ripple’s financial transactions, which the SEC is making allegations on.

As previously reported, Ripple Labs, challenging the claim of the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), requested the access to the documents of Binance Holdings Limited, a subsidiary of a major cryptocurrency exchange in the Cayman Islands.

Ripple Labs requested access to these documents due to the fact that the Commission disputes offers and sales that took place in another country and were not subjected to the law referred to by the SEC.
