Ripple to Release XRP Status Documents

Ripple co-founder Chris Larsen said in a letter to Judge Analisa Torres that the company has no objection to full disclosure of the legal briefs.

According to the company’s general counsel, Stuart Alderoti, these documents will prove that the XRP token was not considered a security.

At the same time, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filed a motion with Justice of the Peace Sarah Netburn asking for clarification and reconsideration of her deliberative process privilege (DPP) decision.

In January 2022, Netburn directed the regulator to hand over to the company an email containing a draft speech by the regulator’s former director of corporate finance, William Hinman, in which he stated that Ethereum was not a security.
