PrivatBank Temporarily Banned Hryvnia Deposits on Crypto Exchanges

Since March 16, PrivatBank has suspended the ability for customers to transfer hryvnia to cryptocurrency exchanges.

According to ForkLog, the company made this decision in connection with the indication of the National Bank of Ukraine for the period of martial law in the country.

According to the press service of PrivatBank, during martial law, banks are prohibited from carrying out cross-border transfers of currency values from Ukraine on behalf of clients, including transfers of foreign exchange funds for use on cryptocurrency exchanges.

Binance recommended using P2P trading.

Martial law in Ukraine was introduced on February 24, 2022, when Russia sent its troops into Ukrainian territory and started bombing peaceful cities.

The BTC-Alpha team together with trusted volunteer communities created a charity fund ‘‘Alpha for Ukraine’. You can make a donation to help everyone in Ukraine who needs medicines, humanitarian aid and to support the defence of the country.
