OpenSea’s Daily Volume Exceeded Its 2020 Indicators
The non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace, OpenSea, processes more transactions every day than it did during the entirety of 2020.
On August 2, OpenSea co-founder and CEO Devin Finzer tweeted that the platform processed $95 million in transactions in just two days.
Finzer estimates that in 2020, the volume of transactions on OpenSea was $21 million, even though the daily transaction value in the market has increased more than 650 times since 2020.
For example, according to DappRadar, rival marketplaces NFT, SuperRare and Rarible currently have daily volumes of $543,000 and $248,000, respectively.
Earlier, the South Korean blockchain project of tech giant Kakao called Klaytn teamed up with NFT marketplace OpenSea to sell its own non-fungible tokens.
