More Than 200 Scam Apps Found on Google Play — Trend Micro

According to Trend Micro, there are more than 200 variations of different apps on Google Play that are infected with Facestealer spyware.

This malware steals Facebook user credentials through phishing apps from Google Play.

In addition, Trend Micro experts have identified more than 40 fake applications that “promise the possibility of making money on cryptocurrency mining.” However, in reality, these applications are configured in such a way that the user, without suspecting anything, gives out all their passwords, seed phrases and other confidential information.
