Miami Bitcoin 2021: What to Expect From the First Offline Conference Since the Start of Pandemic
For the first time since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, cryptocurrency advocates will be able to physically attend the Miami Bitcoin 2021 conference on June 4-5 at the Mana Wynwood Convention Center.
Many famous people will come to the conference this year: members of Congress, celebrities, cryptographers, CEOs and other cryptocurrency advocates. Over 50,000 people are expected to attend.
One of the expected guests is Mayor of Miami Francis Suarez. He recently revealed that he bought Bitcoin after the US Senate passed a $ 1.9 trillion stimulus bill in March.
In addition, officials who support the cryptocurrency will also come to Miami Bitcoin 2021. For example, Senator Cynthia Lummis from Wyoming, Chris Giancarlo, former chairman of the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission, and Brian Brooks, who recently served as currency controller.
Bitcoin (BTC) permabull and MicroStrategy CEO Michael Saylor, twins Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss and Anthony Pompliano will lead two Fireside chats on Friday.
And Galaxy Digital’s Mike Novogratz, Paxos CEO Charles Cascarilla, Square Crypto’s Steve Lee and freelance journalist Aaron van Wyrdum will appear in Fireside chats on Saturday.
Zap CEO Jack Mullers will speak on the topic of Bitcoin scalability. He will talk about companies using the Lightning Network. And Jeremy Rubin from the MIT Bitcoin Project will speak on the topic “Bitcoin is DeFi”.
Given the recent criticism of Bitcoin mining, it shouldn’t come as a surprise to see several panels with the headlines: “The Moral Case for Bitcoin” and “Bitcoin Mining Solves Our Energy Problems”.
In addition, the conference will cover the aspects of network analytics, confirmation of reserves and banking services for non-banking services.
