Large-scale Outflow of Funds From Crypto Funds Registered

In seven days, from June 18 to 24, the outflow of funds from cryptocurrency investment products amounted to $423 million. According to CoinShares analysts, this is the largest outflow of funds in the history of the existence of cryptocurrency investment products.

The previous record for capital outflow from crypto funds was registered in January 2022 and was $198 million.

As for the rest of the indicators, AUM decreased by 1.2%. For comparison, during the crypto winter of 2018, the weekly decrease in AUM reached 1.6%.

From Bitcoin-based products, the outflow of funds amounted to $453 million, which effectively neutralized all receipts since the beginning of the year.

In addition, investors have invested $15 million in bear funds. The driver was the launch of the ProShares Short Bitcoin Strategy ETF, which provided an opportunity to participate in such a strategy.

Ethereum funds after 11 weeks of negative dynamics received an inflow of funds in the amount of $11 million.
