Gopax Supported Anti-Russian Sanctions and Blocked Russian Accounts
The South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Gopax announced the imposition of sanctions against citizens of the Russian Federation due to the war in Ukraine.
On March 2, the platform blocked accounts that use Russian IP addresses, as well as all funds on these accounts. The exchange made this decision in accordance with the US Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and the EU sanctions against Russia.
Earlier, due to the paramilitary attack on Ukraine, the QMALL, BTC-Alpha, WhiteBIT, CEX.io and Kuna cryptocurrency exchanges decided to impose their own sanctions against Russia.
The BTC-Alpha team together with trusted volunteer communities created a charity fund ‘‘Alpha for Ukraine’. You can make a donation to help everyone in Ukraine who needs medicines, humanitarian aid and to support the defence of the country.
