Elon Musk Claims He Didn’t Sell His Bitcoins

Elon Musk made an announcement on his Twitter page that he didn’t sell his Bitcoins. It was his answer on David Portnoy’s words about him. The famous comic jumped to a conclusion that Elon Musk is getting profit on Bitcoin’s pump and dump.

Recently Tesla sold 10% Bitcoins from their balance sheet, benefiting $272 millions from this. They also started accepting payments for their cars in Bitcoins and announced they are not going to convert this profit into fiat money.

Musk assures that the goal of Tesla selling these assets was to actually prove that Bitcoin’s liquidity makes an alternative to just holding cash on the balance as people usually do. He doesn’t disclose the amount of Bitcoins he owns but made it clear that no matter how much he has, he has no intention to sell them.
