El Salvador Took Advantage Of the Rate Declining and Bought 500 BTC
On the night of May 10, the price of Bitcoin briefly fell below $30,000, reaching $29,731 on Bitstamp due to increased trading volume.
The Salvadoran government decided to take advantage of the situation. On Twitter, President Nayib Bukele later revealed that the government had purchased an additional 500 BTC at an average price of ~$30,744.
At the time of writing, the cost of digital gold has recovered, reaching $31,659. Over the past day, quotes have lost 4.1%. All the largest assets by capitalization remain in the red zone, except some stablecoins (CoinGecko).
