Bitcoin’s “death” Hits Google’s Charts

Google searches for “Bitcoin dead” skyrocketed over the past week, and may even have reached the highest level for all time.

According to Google Trends data published by Cointelegraph, from June 12 to June 18, the query “Bitcoin is dead” scored the maximum number of points, which are assigned based on the total number of user queries over a period of time.

The last time this query scored 100 points out of 100 was around December 2017.

It seems that such a rapid decline of the price of the first cryptocurrency over the past few months has greatly excited not only the crypto community, but ordinary people interested in the issue. In addition, the general collapse of the cryptocurrency market also does not instill faith in people. Not surprisingly, many have developed apocalyptic sentiments.

But maybe we should not succumb to general panic? The media have written about the “death of Bitcoin” more than once over the past few years. In 2021 alone, Bitcoin “died” 45 times.
