Bitcoin Will Reach $200K In 2022 – Forecast
Former Chief Strategy Officer of Block One Brock Pierce and co-founder of research firm Fundstrat Global Advisors Tom Lee, despite the fact that their previous Bitcoin price predictions at $100,000 did not come true, believe that in 2022 the BTC/USD rate will still conquer the mark at $200,000.
Such a prediction seems quite pretentious, especially as at the time of writing, Bitcoin is trading at $46,860, and the most recent high was set on November 10 at $69,000.
Tom Lee, in a December 23 Market Rebellion Roundtable, predicted that BTC would be worth $200,000, adding that while it sounds fantastic, it is achievable.
Lee in October, when ProShares launched its first Bitcoin ETF, confidently announced that the price of BTC would rise to $100,000 by the end of 2021.
At the time, he also predicted that Bitcoin ETFs would raise at least $50 billion over the next 12 months. US Bitcoin ETFs currently hold approximately $1.5 billion in assets between the offerings of Valkyrie, Van Eck and ProShares.
Meanwhile, on December 29, Pierce told Fox Business that Bitcoin could momentarily surpass the $200,000 mark and then plunge again.
Notably, Pierce has also previously supported the idea that Bitcoin will rise to $100,000 by the end of 2021:
“There really are not many levels where I (anticipate) Bitcoin seeing resistance. We could get anywhere from $70,000 to $100,000 by the end of the year, but it will not be without volatility.”
Popular analyst Plan B is also famous for his Bitcoin price predictions. His lucky prediction was that BTC would hit $63,000 in October. But he was wrong when he said Bitcoin would hit $98,000 and $135,000 in November and December, respectively. And this he recently admitted as his mistake.
