Binance Smart Chain Funded New NFT Startup Gala Games
The Binance Smart Chain Foundation (BSC) has become one of the investors in the new gaming platform Gala Games, aimed at storing in-game items and non-fungible tokens (NFT). Also on the platform, users will be able to directly sponsor game development through the purchase of in-game items.
According to Bloomberg, the amount of the fund’s investment in the startup is not yet known.
Under the terms of the agreement, Gala Games will use the BSC blockchain as a platform for developing complex decentralized applications.
Gala currently has around 1.8 million monthly active users. Two games are currently in development: the Town Star control simulator and the fantasy role-playing game Mirandus.
NFT technology is popular in the gaming industry. Not so long ago, the well-known American company that sells game consoles, computer games, and game accessories GameStop announced that it is working on a Change to the Game NFT project on the Ethereum blockchain.
Also, NFT technology has found its place in the music and film industries. For example, the Tezos blockchain has launched a new music-focused NFT crypto collectible market, featuring works by many famous artists such as John Legend, Quincy Jones, Dodge Cat, and Whitney Houston.
And a new film starring Oscar winner Anthony Hopkins, titled Zero Contact, is due out on NFT in the Vuele market around August this year.
