An NFT Airdrop and 3D Innovations

Spider-Man fans will get free NFTs

AMC Theaters is planning an NFT giveaway on the day of Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man: No Way Home premiere in US theatres. A limited number (up to 86,000 NFTs) has been prepared for “AMC Stubs Premiere & A-List” and “AMC Investor Connect” subscribers.

According to the announcement, whoever buys a provisional ticket for the Spider-Man screening on December 16 will be eligible to receive an NFT.

Animation studio Cub Studios created over 100 NFT designs especially for this promotion.

NFT by Damien Hirst

Renowned British artist Damien Hirst created and sent 10,000 NFTs to those who previously purchased art from his Currency collection.

The artist decided to present his fans with a gift in the form of NFT from the new collection “Great Expectations”, consisting of 10,000 images based on his work “Certified Lover Boy” (Certified Lover Boy).

The collection was inspired by the cover of “Certified Lover Boy,” the sixth studio album by Canadian rapper Drake.

“It’s a dot painting made of emojis, I’ve made the emojis from the splats and blobs and drips and dribbles I’ve found in “The Currency”. I tried to create an image that sums up the powerful hope-filled love, humour & daring truth in the music of Drake for his album cover,” Hirst commented.

3D NFT on ICP

Internet Networking (ICP) Dfinity launches its 3D and interactive platform, NFT Studio. Platform users will be able to design, mint, and post-conventional and interactive 3D NFTs.

The platform includes a 3D voxel engine and a pixel engine that allows users to create 3D models that can be converted to NFT and used in video games.

Lucas Merville, Founder and Team Leader of NFT Studio, said 3D creators are often constrained on networks like Ethereum or Solana that cannot handle large files.

“3D NFT sounded like fiction – far beyond the current state of blockchain technology. But we made them possible,” Merville added.

There are a number of NFT collections already running on ICP like ICPunks, ICPuppies and ICKitties.
