American University Accepts Bitcoin Tuition

The private Bentley University (BU), located in Waltham, Massachusetts, in partnership with the Coinbase exchange added the ability to pay for tuition in crypto.

According to the website of the educational institution, the university specializes in training business professionals, with undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs.

According to BU President Labrent Krayt, the university produces some of the best business leaders with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in a changing global economy.

“We are proud to use the technology that our students are learning,” he added.

Now students or their relatives can pay for tuition in Bitcoins, Ethereum or USD Coin (USDC) stablecoins. In addition, the university plans to make donations in the same cryptocurrencies available.

According to the announcement, students’ interest in the crypto world has also fueled the creation of a new course on crypto finance, which will launch in the fall of 2022 and will focus on blockchain applications and the DeFi sector.
