13 Years Ago Bitcoin’s Whitepaper Was Published

Halloween time isn’t only about dark and spooky stuff. It is also a time for Bitcoiners to have their own anniversary celebrated. This year it’s the 13th anniversary of Bitcoin’s whitepaper being published for the first time.

The nine pages of whitepaper were published by the mysterious Satoshi Nakamoto on October 31st. The Bitcoin network was launched a little bit later, in January. Bitcoin went through a lot during these thirteen years but now it’s on top, and the crypto enthusiasts all over the world celebrate its success.

From zero value asset whose maximum were two pizzas, Bitcoin became a No. 1 investment tool backed by billions of dollars. From a matter of no use cases it became a national currency of El Salvador. It took only 13 years for it to become such an important part of the economy, and it’s only a beginning.
